As a fellow New Yorker, I loved the piece. Growing up here with so many friends of different backgrounds made me respect everyone's heritage. I still remember my elementary school teacher teaching us songs like " shalom var-im shalom !. They tought diversity, and respect for one another, now I don't think the kids can even sing such songs, or even mention the word Christmas. I laughed at this and appreciated the gift.
