This ad is for Hans Wagner Butcher Shop's organic meats makes me shiver a little. It's hard enough walking through the freezingly cold meat section of the grocers much less thinking about doing it in the altogether. It's also a little disturbing coming from a country where stories of S&M cannibalism are not unknown.
That said, I can't disagree with the headline: "In packaged meat, only the package is appealing," when the discussion is between an organic butcher and supermarket cuts. However, once again I find myself asking, who is the target for this ad? Women shoppers? What is it saying to them about men as objects (turnabout is fair play of course, but the commercialization of bodies is so pervasive as to be invisible even when it's men at this point).
